and achieving higher growth rates. It is enabled through creation,
transmission and dissemination of knowledge. The Dashmesh Educational
Charitable Trust – established in the year 1999 with its mission of developing
and promoting quality education in the NCR, Haryana & Delhi in a coordinated
and integrated manner. The Trust’s constant endeavor is to encourage the
higher Medical & Technical education system, research and development
activities in a concerted effort aimed at nation-building.
Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust and its management believes in
providing a proper impetus to institutions in producing competent Doctors,
pharmacists, managers and encourage them to think beyond the curriculum
while imparting training for the advancement of knowledge. The emphasis of
the Trust is to put in place simplified procedures at greater ease. “Access to
Quality” and “Education to All” will be the slogans to give more impetus to
quality in higher education and to be the best in the world. The Management
and Board of Trustee’s efforts are fostering a higher education system, which
is at par with the best institutions in the world. Educational institutions have
undergone several changes in their structure as well as the goal ahead. A
structural transformation is taking place, from the institutions producing
`babus’ in the British Raj to the institutions producing computer professionals,
doctors, engineers, etc. The growth of industries in the Country, just after
independence, also demanded the need for qualified professionals in other
fields, such as Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Engineers, Business
Management, Architecture, Hotel Management, Pharmacy etc. Although the
diverse elements of Management such as Commerce, Economics, Finance,
Psychology and Industrial Sociology were being taught for a long time, the
need for Management Education in a formal way was felt in India only in the
fifties. The Government of India decided in 1954 to set up a Board of
Management Studies under AICTE to formulate standards and promote
Management Education. Under the approval of Haryana Government and
guiding spirit of the trustees, Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust has
established the University to cater the need of the country in the field of
Higher/Technical education in the NCR area Particularly, Delhi, Haryana.
Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University (SGT University) was
established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities Act of 2006. The
university currently has 19 faculties offering a total of 180 courses in both
medical and non-medical disciplines. It occupies a sprawling campus of over
70 acres, which includes an 800-bed teaching General Hospital that serves as a
multi-specialty facility attached to the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
The university was awarded an A+ ranking by NAAC.

In anticipation of this need the management of the Trust is backed by many
great humanists, educationist & connoisseurs of education, who have gained a
very long experience of education and are holding very prominent positions in
various educational institutions of high repute & glory. The Management of
the Trust believes that every Student at the institution has potential and talent
and University under the Trust have created an environment to nurture it. The
University gives a platform which aims at the all-round development of the
Students.
The Board of Trustees is dedicated to establishing a technical education
system that meets the standards of leading institutions worldwide. To achieve
this, the Board encourages academics to collaborate with industry
professionals to develop a curriculum that prepares graduates for the
workforce. Additionally, partnerships with foreign institutions for various
courses are promoted to give students a competitive edge in the global
market.
The Trust serves as a guiding force for SGT University, focusing on the
comprehensive development of students while cultivating qualities such as
self-reliance, integrity, adaptability, social awareness, faithfulness,
truthfulness, intelligence, efficiency, sharing, forgiveness, and inspiration.
The Trust remains committed to enhancing the higher and technical education
system while also supporting research and development activities, all as part
of a concerted effort toward nation-building.
